Can you picture the master fly fisherman at the end of this fly’s line? I did. I tried to picture myself as a master of this art, enticing even the most wise trophy fish. In my mind’s-eye I danced the delicate lure across the water, animating it with perfect delivery. Well — that mind game was the inspiration for the painting anyway. I am in the habit of reaching for paint brushes, not fishing rods! But I had fun with the idea of it and hope that has come across in this likeness of the popular Royal Wulff fly fishing lure.
The original work, by Teresa Wade, has been sold; with permission, archival quality giclée prints are available on heavy watercolor paper in a variety of standard sizes.
