This loudly colored piece suggests a popular pattern staple in the world of fly fishing, the Elk Hair Caddis. Not meant to be a true likeness of the fly pattern, but rather an attention getter. Set against the blue-green watercolor background, this fly delights the eye and invokes a sense of “happy” to the viewer.
The original work, by Teresa Wade, resides in the collection of Mrs. Chloe Ross; with permission, archival quality giclée prints are available on heavy watercolor paper in a variety of standard sizes.
