This is the scene that I witness nearly every time I exit my driveway. I live 20 or so miles out of town and am surrounded by cattle ranchers. The cattle that reside at my neighbors are really black angus, but I think the burnt sienna tone as depicted here, makes for a much more interesting painting. Landscapes are not usually my best work, but I rather like this one and the moodiness of it. I am also pleased with its’ design and form and think it a well balanced painting. I hope to do other works similar to this in the near future.
